Position Overview

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading the development, implementation and administration of policies and programs for employee wellbeing, employee relations, compliance, compensation and benefits, and employee development and training.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership to align Human Resources initiatives with overall company goals.
  • Oversee all HR functions, to include but not limited to, employee relations, workforce planning, compensation, benefits, leave management, performance management, training and development, and safety programs.
  • Drive strategies to retain top talent.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to optimize processes and measure the effectiveness of HR.
  • Maintain industry knowledge, particularly in government contracting, to ensure HR and TA policies remain competitive.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on HR-related matters.
  • Manage the HR team and oversee staff development.

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • 15 years of progressive HR-related experience.
  • 5 years of management experience.
  • Strong understanding of government contracting HR requirements.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
  • Leadership and strategic vision.
  • Strong business acumen, particularly in government contracting.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management.
  • Expertise in HR compliance and employment law.
  • Data-driven decision-making and HR analytics.
  • Experience with SCA contracts/employee base.
  • Experience with Union contracts/employee base.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience with ADP and Costpoint.
  • Experience scaling HR operations in a growing organization.
