By Light is hiring an Implementation Request Writer Senior SME located in Fort Meade, MD.  

• Processes Implementation Requests (IRs) from the DoD MIRA tool from inception through to delivery to the Implementation Operation Center (IOC).
• The IR writer will Identify, resolve, and provide options to resolve and/or escalate implementation activity issues to leadership could affect over project schedule.
• Be available, via phone or email to respond and answer questions from PMs, IOC, Logistics, Engineers and IR Leadership on ongoing activities.
• Coordinate with Engineers, Implementation Leads, PMS and others for properly completing the IR.
• Ensure IR status is tracked and available to all stakeholders in the MIRA tool.
• Update MSS with required information as appropriate.
• Coordinate with Logistics personnel on equipment material assigned to the IR via the warehouse management system (WMS) tool.
• Frequently reviews the IR writer tools to ensure all detailed steps of IR processing are adhered to and receives quality review prior to submitting to the IOC.
• Works closely with the IR requestor to take the draft IR through the process to, analyze, review, and provides Implementation Request (IR) Writer assistance to Government, DoD employees and contractors.
• Accesses the Warehouse Management System (WMS) tool to validate installation materials are available in the warehouse.
• Ensure all content is present from the IR requestor, collaborating with the requestor until a satisfactory IR is accepted.
• Recommends resolution of issues for to ensure the IR content is acceptable for processing.
  Prepares, reviews, and delivers required reports and updates to the IR reference guides for the IR requestor and for the IR writers.
• Provides project support for reviews, conferences, briefings, and associated meetings.
• Provides recommendations for planning, organizing, managing critical aspects of the development, production and/or deployment of capabilities.
• Develops data collection methods and tools to ensure the process is working and provides updates when changes occur.  
• Works with other IR writers, Government Leads, MIRA developer, the Warehouse, and management to ensure the constant flow of IRs regular and expedite IRs.
• Answers question, resolves issues and escalates problems to the PM as required.
• Attends weekly meetings with the PM, IOC and associate IR writers.
• Participates in the IR writer teams bridge daily, all day.
• Reviews and acts on IRs in draft and works updates to IRs leading to finalizing the IR for delivery to the IOC.
• Works within the IR Writer email box acting on emails as required.

• Education: HS diploma
• Performed in a lead role working DOD projects, scheduling, planning, metrics, reporting, tracking and presenting metrics to senior leadership.
• Experienced in a lead role working directly with the Government and US Military members.
• Experience: Seven (7) years relevant general experience in IT.

• Prior military experience/experience working DoD project.
• Has the communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates.

• Security Clearance: Secret
• This position is required on onsite at Fort Meade, Maryland
