By Light is seeking a candidate to fill a Junior System Administration position supporting DISA's GSM-O contract at Scott AFB, IL.  The System Administrator is responsible for protecting DISA’s information and information systems from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, perusal, inspection, recording and destruction.

• The candidate must be able to work independently to maintain the smooth operation of a multi-user computer systems, including coordination with customer and other administrators.
• Communicate policies and procedures to customers
• Update digital systems to provide insight to ongoing efforts and tickets
• Monitor alarm systems
• Perform basic level system administrator duties.
• Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
• Creates, maintains, and implements detailed documentation and maintains standard operating procedures.
• Provides support on a M-F business hours schedule, also responsible for on-call, extended hour, and weekend support as required by mission or emergency situations.
• System monitoring using installed tools as well as external tools.

• HS diploma and 1 year of overall related experience or education in lieu of experience
• 1 year of experience in customer service environment
• Basic Understanding of Scripting Languages

• Additional training, education, or certification in IT related programs
• Experience with a ticketing system
• Experience working with virtual environments.

• Must hold an active US Secret Security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS clearance
• Hold an active Sec+ certification
