Cole Engineering Services (CESI), a By Light company, is recognized as a premier provider of modeling and simulation (M&S) training solutions to the Federal Government and industry. The Sr. Cyber Range Engineer for the Persistent Cyber Training Environment Operations Group (PCTE-OG) will provide subject matter expertise for cyber range design, implementation, validation, and execution. The candidate will provide deep technical expertise across a broad spectrum of IT and cybersecurity products, tools, architectures, and implementations, with the ability to use that expertise to design and implement cyber ranges. Also, the candidate must support individual training, large scale collective training and operational mission rehearsal requirements for the Cyber Mission Force teams located at Joint-Base San Antonio. The candidate will work closely with customer and third-party organizations and must be able to respond to ad-hoc technical requirements while synchronizing priorities across the enterprise. The candidate must thrive in high pressure situations.
This position is located onsite at Joint-Base San Antonio (San Antonio, TX).
8+ years of combined experience with Computer Network Operations (CNO)/ Computer Network Exploitation (CNE)/ Computer Network Defense (CND) platforms, cyber training, validation exercises, and working with cyber protection teams (CPTs), including planning, coordinating, and execution.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate), VMware VCP-Cloud, or other similar and relevant certifications.
Active certifications in Red Hat, Linux, VMware, and/or Windows (install, configure, maintain and administer)
Active and relevant network engineering certification such as JNCP, CCNA, Palo Alto, CCNA Cyber Ops, or others
Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II or greater certification such as Security+, CCNA, CISSP or other equivalent certification.
Experience translating cyber mission force training and mission rehearsal goals into actionable event environments.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status and a TS SCI security clearance. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
