By Light is hiring a Senior Systems Administrator to join our team providing Information Technology (IT) support services to the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) located at Fort Benning and remote locations Camp Merrill and Camp Rudder. The team will deliver comprehensive, integrated, end-to-end IT Systems Support services to include Network Systems Support, Computer Systems Support, Systems Engineering, Cyber Protection, Business Intelligence, IT Metrics Reporting and Quality Control.

  • Manage and supervise personnel providing Computer Systems Support to include Data Center Operations, Enterprise Systems Management, Desktop Systems Management, and Security and Configuration Management Services.
  • Complete and submit reports to the Government such as after-action reports, network outage and failure report, maintenance schedule plans, and other reports as required.
  • Open service requests and acknowledge them within 30 minutes of notification during normal business hours.
  • Assist the Government with operating all data centers managed by NEC to include network hardware management, server hardware management, storage area network (SAN) management, power and environmental systems management, and continuity of operations planning. 
  • Assist the Government with management and administration of enterprise systems to include Active Directory Management; Systems Center Management; Messaging Management; Clustering Services; Backup and Restoration; Network Access Control; Network Authentication and Services; Remote Access; Operations Management Services; Anti-Virus/Network Threat Protection; Relational Database Management; SharePoint/Collaboration Services; and Virtual Server Services. 
  • Perform enterprise systems management, including fault determination, performance management, environmental monitoring, configuration management (coding/scripting/patching global and group policy), and security management of both classified and unclassified systems. 
  • Assist the Government with direct telephonic and remote management desktop assistance to users.
  • Provide Systems Administration Tier 2-4 technical support for security systems to include HBSS and ACAS for both classified and unclassified environments. 
  • Gather IT metrics and data from available sources to develop, prepare, and maintain business intelligence reporting for both classified and unclassified environments. 
  • Assure configuration settings are correct, to include deployment and configuration of HBSS, ACAS, SCCM, and related clients for both classified and unclassified environments.
  • Track and report changes to expected configurations and settings.

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: BS Degree in Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • Experience: 8 years or more of relevant work experience.
  • Supervisory/Managerial Experience: 6-8 years’ experience commensurate with the position requirements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with government regulations, policies, and limitations within their scope of responsibilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Possess a good understanding of DoD/Army Network Infrastructure to include Wireless, Cyber Security compliance and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Department of Defense 8570 Baseline Certification for IAT Level II (Security+ CE or Cisco Certified Network Associate Security Certification).
  • Security Clearance: Secret

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience supporting or assigned to the DoD and/or U.S. Army.
  • Communication skills to effectively interface with military officials, managers, and subordinates.
  • ITIL Certification
