    By Light is hiring a Scheduling Assistant to join our field engineering team supporting DISA. This position will provide assistance with developing and maintaining schedules to effectively optimize the use of resources to meet the needs of the project managers and customers.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides backup and primary planning/scheduling support, to include developing and maintaining integrated master schedules, creating and submitting program related documentation, assisting in preparing briefings, providing full conference/meeting support, and help in preparing senior level strategic briefings and metrics as required by the Government
    • Interface with Project Managers, Field Services Director, Team Functional Leads and third party contractors to clarify scope of work, level of schedule detail and provide technical evaluation according to contractual requirements to effectively plan and manage project work
    • Assist the planner/scheduler and Project Team in development of overall project schedules with detailed tasks, sequence and durations based on team input, work breakdown structures and schedule templates of all near term work packages and summary level of future work packages
    • Assist planner/scheduler and Project Team in evaluation of strategies to address scope changes and mitigate schedule delays
    • Accurate and timely reporting to Director of Field Services and other team members and to all levels of company management as appropriate
    • Ensures the completion and integration of multiple complex projects simultaneously
    • Assists in providing analysis and recommendations in support of the resolution of IT-related scheduling problems; executing the recommendations as directed by the project manager or client.
    • Monitors the assessment of project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
    • Submit ideas, and assist in Proactively identifying, managing and implementing process improvements
    • Ensures production schedules are met or exceeded
    • Ensures engineering & technical resources are used effectively and appropriately.
    • Coordinates resolution of schedule-related problems
    • Prioritize efforts to ensure successful client outcome
    • Uses strong planning and organizational skills to ensure timely completion of all milestones and efforts with minimal client disruption
    • Provides proactive and responsive customer focused leadership, reaching back to corporate resources to mitigate risks and resolve any issues that may arise

    Required Experience/Qualifications

    • High School Diploma required
    • At least 3 years relevant Planning, Scheduling, Operations Management or Project Management experience
    • Related industry experience in information technology or engineering
    • Working knowledge Microsoft Office Tools; specifically Excel, Project and Share Point
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Preferred Experience/Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher is desired but not required
    • Experience working with DISA is desired but not required

    Special Requirements/Security Clearance

    • Ability to obtain DOD Secret clearance required
