Overview

By Light is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide non-personal Information Technology (IT) support services to the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) located on Fort Benning, Georgia, Camp Merrill, Dahlonega, Georgia, and Camp Rudder, Eglin AFB, FL. Includes the delivery of comprehensive, integrated, end-to-end IT services that include Network Administration, including Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs), Systems Administration, Systems Integration and Testing, Configuration Management, Infrastructure Management, Project Management, Request Management, End-User Support and Training, Hardware/Software Fielding, Software development and maintenance, Business intelligence, IT Metrics Reporting, Quality Control, Information and Network Security Services, and Database Support.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis, recommendations, and updates for tactical, operational and strategic IT planning.
  • Analyze IT Service Support infrastructure deficiencies and loss of communication due to major outages.
  • Acknowledges and Assigns Remedy tickets to technicians for response and resolution.
  • Performs Incident Management during major outages; tracks troubleshooting and maintains logs on resolution of trouble tickets.
  • Make planning recommendations for all functions of design, development, upgrade, support, and maintenance of IT Infrastructure and services.
  • Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
  • Gather IT metrics and data from available sources; Army Enterprise Remedy automated work order system to develop, prepare, and maintain business intelligence reporting for both classified and unclassified environments.
  • Draft and recommend planning strategies based on analysis, design, development, documentation, programming, testing, integration, implementation, and upgrading of unique applications.
  • Document actions and status of assigned tasks in accordance with established procedures to include the management of assets.
  • Maintains knowledge management database.
  • Conduct analysis, prepare reports, briefings, and maintain status of current and future requirements, priorities, and activities.

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • 2-4 years relevant experience with C4IM Systems.
  • Certification: Security+

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience supporting or assigned to the DoD, Army Signal Corp, and /or U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command.
  • Has the communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates.
