By Light, a growing government cotractor  is seeking a .NET developer with client-side web development experience to work in support of a federal client in Asheville, NC.


This developer position is responsible for supporting in-house enterprise distributed applications in a large-scale government environment. Assignments will include:

  • Supporting applications (web, windows, client / server)
  • Developing new features
  • Performing business analysis
  • Testing
  • Creating and maintaining documentation
  • Coordinating with team members
  • Intermediate database administration

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience writing applications using the following is required:
    • .NET
    • HTML
    • CSS
    • Javascript, especially Angular
  • Experience developing and troubleshooting enterprise-level web and desktop applications
  • Familiarity with software design best practices and software development life cycle
  • Familiarity with source control and work item tracking

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Must be able to understand Windows production environments
  • Visual Studio, Git and SQL Server Management Studio
  • Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
  • Strong team skills
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
  • Must exhibit an independent interest in the use of new technologies, tools and professional development
  • Building and generating reports
  • Experience working on Agile development team (continuous integration, pair programming, code review, refactoring, iteration planning, modeling)

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline is required plus at least 1 years of experience (3 years of experience can replace education requirement)
