Overview

By Light is seeking a Payroll Manager to support the Corporate Accounting Department in McLean, VA.  If you are looking for a rewarding and challenging career with a dynamic, growing organization, we have an immediate need.

Our Payroll Manager accomplishes this priority successfully.  Payroll is processed accurately and on time using ADP Workforce Now, Deltek Costpoint and other resources as needed. Employees receive timely cordial customer service assistance from our payroll department.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire payroll process for approx. 400 employees;
  • Coordinate payroll activities with HR department activities/initiatives;
  • Maintain our ADP Workforce Now system keeping up to date on all new and changing functionality;
  • Maintains our Costpoint T&E system keeping up to date on all new and changing functionality;
  • Key company POC with ADP;
  • Manages leave accruals, postings etc.;
  • Handles all service tickets to Deltek for T&E related issues;
  • Keeps abreast of all payroll related laws at federal, state and local level;
  • Assists with responding to payroll mailbox inquiries;
  • Coordinates regular 401(k) contributions to recordkeeper/investment vendor;
  • Handles any 401(k) contributions issues with recordkeeper/investment vendor;
  • Responds to audit inquiries on a timely cooperative basis as needed;
  • Other payroll related duties as assigned;
  • Due to company growth/acquisition this position is and will be involved in the addition/development of new companies within ADP and the Deltek cloud environment;
  • Supervise 1 individual.

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and  6+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Manage full cycle Costpoint Timesheet to ADP payroll cycle for multiple companies;
  • Costpoint labor and time collection full working knowledge;
  • Cognos(CER ) report experience.
  • Good communications skills oral and written/Team Player/Attention to detail and deadlines

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

  • Background Investigation required.
