Overview

Phacil, a By Light Company, is hiring a Junior Cyber Security Specialist to join our team supporting our Marine customer in Quantico, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with implementing the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Assist with vulnerability management to include managing DISA IAVA/B.
  • Assist with continuous monitoring process using ACAS.
  • Assists with tracking and documenting IAVA/B using Operational Directives (OpDirs).
  • Assist with tracking monthly Overdue IAVMs Isolation List.
  • Assist with verifying security configurations using DISA STIGs.
  • Assist with the creation and review of security policies.

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
  • Minimum of six months experience in technology/tools specific to the target platforms.
  • Experience working with DoD, RMF and NIST.
  • Basic working knowledge of DISA STIGs.
  • Experience with COTS technologies such ACAS, Lansweeper, eMASS, Archer or other tools.
  • Working knowledge of vulnerability management to include resolving IAVA/B.
  • Working knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of database and operating system security.
  • Working knowledge of latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to effectively interact with various levels of senior management is necessary.
  • Must be able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shifts in project priorities.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • IAT Level II (GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) certification desired

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

  • Secret clearance required
