By Light is hiring a Configuration Management Specialist to provide non-personal Information Technology (IT) support services to the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) located on Fort Benning, Georgia.


  • Provides configuration management planning.
  • Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits.
  • Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software.
  • Responsible for effectively tracking, logging, categorizing, and maintaining changes made against the accepted Army baseline(s) standards.
  • Responsible for ensuring the design, implementation, installation, O&M, and documentation of configuration hardware and software baselines, network diagrams, and physical elevation diagrams are standardized.
  • Develops, distributes, and tracks all change packages resulting from approved Configuration Control Board actions.
  • Prepares and presents information/reports to management. 

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Associates Degree in Computer Science or 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum Experience: 2-3 years relevant experience in Configuration Management.
  • Security Clearance: Secret
  • DoD 8570 Baseline Certification; IAT Level II Certified – Security+ and Computer Environment (CE) certifications

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience supporting or assigned to the DoD and /or U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command.
  • Has the communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates.

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

  • Active Secret Security Clearance
