You will be responsible for the support for the IT Network Infrastructure, including all aspects of administration, configuration, and maintenance.



  • Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.
  • Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability.
  • Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks.
  • Supports the design and build of hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks.

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience with Network Access Control (NAC) and the related technologies and protocols, including a working knowledge of PKI, 802.1X, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, and VPN.
  • 5+ years' experience with Cisco ISE implementation and ongoing operational maintenance experience: Must be able to configure TACACS+ utilizing ISE, to configure basic wire and wireless 802.1x policies, to perform routine software upgrade and to renew System certificates.
  • 5+ years' experience with Cisco ASAs: Must be able to configure DAP policy, to configure VPN connections profile and policy, to configure site-to-site VPN tunnel and to perform routine system upgrades.
  • Ability to analyze, test, troubleshoot, and resolve problems as well as identify deficiencies and solutions to improve a variety of Cisco network environment, i.e., routers, switches, firewalls.
  • Working knowledge of PKI, 802.1X, 802.11x, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, and VPN.
  • Administrator level experience on Windows operating system.
  • Ability to work onsite at the customer's location in Alexandria, VA; Work-from-home available on a case-by-case basis.
  • 24x7 On-call rotation for afterhours support.
  • Nights and/or weekends troubleshooting, maintenance and any other special circumstances.
  • Self-starting individual with the ability to work independently on issues with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented technical and strong analytical skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and follow up skills.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Active Cisco CCNP Security or CCIE Security strongly preferred
  • FMC (Firepower Management Center) experience
  • Experience with 802.1x, PKI and Certificate Authority
  • Strong secondary experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Cisco Routing/Switching
  • Cisco Datacenter (Nexus, UCS)
  • Cisco ISE
  • Cisco WLAN
  • Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI)
  • Palo Alto Networks experience
