Overview

By Light Professional IT Services (By Light) is looking for motivated and qualified professionals to support the U.S. Army Futures Command (AFC), Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center, Intelligence, and Information Warfare Directorate’s (I2WD) Operations Division Network Branch located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Requirements includes communication and systems support, information assurance, automation, computer network, telephone control, support for software development and integration, procurement and inventory support to the C5ISR Center and their tenant organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in responding to system user requests for assistance. 
  • Provide support for on-the-spot diagnostic evaluations, implementation of corrections and training users in proper operation of systems and programs. 
  • Install and provide basic support for approved PC software, perform upgrades to all computer platforms.
  • Train office staff on computers.
  • Maintain logs and inventory of equipment repairs.
  • Assist in administering all computer platforms as directed and assist in resolving operations problems.
  • Operate the C5ISR Center helpdesk to serve as a single point of contact for all Automated Data Processing (ADP), automation, remote computing, hardware, and technical support.
  • Ensure that the helpdesk will be operated during C5ISR CENTER normal duty hours, Monday through Friday, 0700 - 1800. 
  • Ensure emergency & on call support will be provided on federal holidays and weekends.
  • Develop a system to track service requests and support calls.
  • Provide touch labor support to C5ISR Center and their tenants with hardware, software, and telephone support to include providing customers with initial point of contact (POC) for service requests and problem reporting. 
  • Track, audit, resolve issues, and provide feedback to close the loop with the customer.
  • Receive, document, assign, and monitor service requests.
  • Provide help desk / systems management data analysis.
  • Provide timely notifications by the help desk to user population of planned or unplanned system maintenance or degradation.
  • Provide Microsoft Active Directory organizational unit (OU) administration and coordination with the local RNEC.  
  • Align managed systems concerning Windows Operating Systems, UNIX operating systems, images, containers, PODs, Nodes, or other applicable cloud computing technologies, registered applications, and supporting application technologies to current DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), security requirements guide (SRG), and applicable guidance concerning the cybersecurity posture of administered information systems.
  • Install and support Government furnished software and hardware.
  • Service all tickets for installation and replacement of printer toner cartridges and printer fuse kits.
  • Provide written evaluations, procedures, checklists, and instructions for CIO approval.
  • Submit local service requests (LSRs), and installation RNEC helpdesk ticket requests as appropriate.
  • Provide backup VTC support over multiple networks to C5ISR Center and their tenants.
  • Work closely with C5ISR Center and installation RNEC telephone control officer (TCO) to ensure services continue with little to no service interruption.
  • Assist with in-processing and out-processing of users. 
  • Ensure successful operation, maintenance, and administration/configuration of portable digital assistant (PDA) (e.g., iPhone/iPad), or other mobility devices prior to issuing to C5ISR Center customers.

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience: 5 Years

     

  • Education: AS/AA or HS/GED with 8 years of experience.

     

  • Certifications: Security; and MCP.

     

  • Experienced with monitoring, installing, and performing maintenance on personal computers, laptop computers, software, and the networks.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Supported the U.S. Army or other Federal Agency.
  • Has the communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates.

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

  • Security Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with Poly
