By Light Professional IT Services (By Light) is looking for motivated and qualified professionals to support the U.S. Army Futures Command (AFC), Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center, Intelligence, and Information Warfare Directorate’s (I2WD) Operations Division Network Branch located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Requirements includes communication and systems support, information assurance, automation, computer network, telephone control, support for software development and integration, procurement and inventory support to the C5ISR Center and their tenant organizations.

  • Supports engineering efforts that provide engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development, and implementation for complex systems in the engineering discipline required to meet technical requirements.
  • Participates in efforts that develop recommendations and advice on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts.
  • Work closely with the installation RNEC to provide C5ISR Center and their tenants voice and data support, to include, dial tone, fax, conference bridging, defense switched network (DSN), integrated services digital network (ISDN), telephone firewall requests, voicemail, audix commands, Government Emergency Telecommunications Service (GETS) cards, wireless and long haul & commercial lease circuits.
  • Submit local service requests (LSRs), and installation RNEC helpdesk ticket requests as appropriate.
  • Work closely with C5ISR Center and installation RNEC telephone control officer (TCO) to ensure services continue with little to no service interruption.
  • Provide PDA support to C5ISR Center employees and their tenants including, ordering, replacing, turning in, deactivating, re-activating and enabling additional features, per customer request.
  • Assist with support for mobile devices issued to C5ISR Center personnel.
  • Support C5ISR Center Government leadership in reviewing bills/invoices and discovering anomalies in use of service as well as monitoring bills/invoices for trend analysis.

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience: 3 Years or no degree, actively working toward 4-year BS/BA (60 credits) and 15 years’ experience.
  • Education: Bachelors’ Degree or AS/AA or two-year Tech School with 5 years of experience; or BA in relevant technical area with 3 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in related engineering discipline.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Supported the U.S. Army or other Federal Agency.
  • Has the communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates.

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

  • Security Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with Poly
