Overview

By Light is looking for a forward thinking dynamic candidate to provide industry proven network expertise and best practices in the areas of configuration, operation, management, and support of VOIP systems as well as WAN/LAN environments.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for configuring and installing Cisco VOIP phones which include CUCM & Unity configuration and/or administration.
  • Provide technical and customer support and perform monitoring, ticketing, incident management, change management, new site deployment support, and other customer support functions as required.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME)-Level Repair and Primary Technical SME for Coordinated Moves, Adds, Changes, Deletes (MACDs) and Service Request Support.
  • Responsible for providing assistance in identifying VOIP phone infrastructure along with resolving workflow and layout problems resulting from program changes and other external influences.
  • Responsible for monitoring and escalation to UC Tier 3 Engineer as needed, of system capacities by providing detailed statistics regarding network performance as well as internal/external VOIP system component performance.
  • Monitor health of UC systems, system level changes, outages and maintenance.
  • Problem Management support including post-mortem reports and analysis of service infrastructure using specialized tools and systems.
  • Responsible for installing, maintaining and troubleshooting all Analog and Fax lines with the local and regional offices. Responsible for connectivity of all Data cabling, data patch panels and punch down to 110 and 66 blocks.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting, installing and maintaining all Cisco devices for analog phone voice gateways.
  • Responsible for connectivity of VIP secure VIPER phones, electronic-Fax(eFax), analog phones, fax machines, modems, alarms and speakerphones within the enterprise voice system.
  • Responsible for verifying LEC services by testing Voice circuits, equipment, and alarms; and identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Eperience with various VOIP Protocols such as MGCP, H323, SIP, FXS, FXO and VG200 or VG248, Cisco Unity, Cisco Unity Tools Depot, Call Manager (CM), Publisher and Subscriber Servers, Cisco Unified Presence(CUPC).
  • Experience with Netscape, IE, Internet Information Server, HTML, SMTP, FTP, Telnet, POP3, PPP, SLIP
