JRSS Staging Technician functions include: Perform receiving and processing of incoming stock and material. Packing and shipping orders, organizing and retrieving stock in the Staging facilities, bench testing JRSS equipment. Staging equipment for various sites. Also Provide On-site installation support at remote sites.


  • Identify assembly and test external and internal network equipment
  • Ensures production schedules are met
  • Uses strong planning and organizational skills to ensure timely completion of all milestones and efforts with minimal client disruption
  • Keeping accurate and organized records 
  • Operation of forklifts and warehouse equipment
  • Assist in shipping and receiving materials 
  • Prepare equipment for shipping.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat and clean.
  • Understanding of OSHA standards.
  • Site infrastructure installations – racks, cable racks, power, grounding, cabling, etc
  • Equipment installations that include network routers, servers, patch panels, cryptographic material, switches, firewalls, and timing and synchronization
  • Hardware/software installation of networking components
  • Circuit wiring, inspection, testing, and activation
  • Network node decommissioning and de-installation
  • Manage completion reports and status reports providing detailed documentation of network configuration
  • Perform small to large sized installations with no oversight
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience including network infrastructure build-out, mounting telecommunication hardware, cable/fiber installation, cable/fiber terminations and cable/fiber testing.
  • Must be familiar with ANSI/TIA standards
  • working with DISA and JRSS is (desired)
  • Preference for candidates that have worked in DoD/DISA IT network environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools; specifically, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint 
  • Excellent communication, effective leadership, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • BICSI Certification
  • OEM networking certifications

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Minimum SECRET Clearance (required) 

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Regularly lift and or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
