American Communications Solutions and By Light Professional IT Services are recruiting dedicated and talented IT Service and Program Management Office professionals for the Eastern Western Operational Communications Services (EWOCS) contract. EWOCS provides reliable high-quality communications and innovative IT solutions for the Guardians, Airmen, and Government agencies assigned to Patrick Space Force Base, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, and Vandenberg Air Force Base.   • Install, configure and deploy server hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and patches to support and maintain effective network service operations throughout the environment.
  • Support, troubleshoot, repair and maintain server issues and security for enterprise and service driven applications.
  • Provides Activity Directory Management assistance to upstream departments in managing user and computer accounts.
  • Manages, deploys, configures, and maintains servers in a virtualized and traditional environment.
  • Install, configure, manage, and maintain server-based applications
  • Assists in creating scripts to monitor systems, diagnostics, resolve issues, and automate routine tasks.
  • Provides support for device management including WDS image deployment
  • Configures systems for high availability including strategies for back-up and recovery, failover, load balancing, and full redundancy.
  • Installs server hardware and components such as disks, memory, etc., and models and tests changes to production systems.
  • Analyzes and resolves issues, gathers information to identify needs, evaluates systems and network requirements
  • Diagnoses and resolves complex software, server, and networking issues.
  • Creates, and maintains written and procedures; prepares written technical documentation, training material, standards, reports, and other documents as assigned.
  • Provides general networking, computer, and other technology support as needed.
  • Prepares and maintains a variety of records and reports related to assigned activities; provide special reports as requested by various departments.
  • Operates a variety of office equipment including a computer and assigned software.
  • Conduct functional and connectivity testing to ensure continuing operability.
  • Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain baseline system security according to organizational policies.
  • Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
  • Plan, execute, and verify data redundancy and system recovery procedures.
  • Nurture dependable IT infrastructure and networking that is consistently available.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to communicate project status, activities, and achievements

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Two to five years of experience as a Microsoft System Administrator or related expereince 
  • IAT Level II Certification – Current (CompTIA Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP) or higher
  • Valid state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, programming, engineering or other related field
  • Proven experience working with SolarWinds, VMWare ESXi
  • Proven experience working with CISCO ISE, DNA Center, UCS Servers, Smart Software Manager
  • Linux Server (RedHat, CentOS)

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Position requires COVID 19 full vaccination or willingness to test as required by the customer; testing is at the cost of the individual
