Overview

By Light is hiring a System / Database Administrator Level 2 will be responsbile for using various tools in the management of COMSEC accounts. SQL or other Database Experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize various tools in the management of COMSEC
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software.
  • Provide support and technical expertise in implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of servers and applications
  • Coordinate and assist with deployment and support activities
  • Develop data migration plans and scripts
  • Update, patch, and improve the application and database as required
  • Install as required/mandated all required security updates, patches and components

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL or other Database
  • Ten (10) years’ experience as a SA/DBA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from and accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • An IAT level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required. Security + CE, GSEC, or SSCP.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience with Web Development (e.g. Java, HTML)

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

  • TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required
  • By Light does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters; vaccination requirements and testing are subject to the status of the federal contractor mandate and customer site requirements; testing is at the cost of the employee.
