The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Europe District (NAU) provides vital engineering, construction, and environmental solutions in support of U.S. European Command (EUCOM) and U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) areas of responsibility. By Light is looking to staff positions that would provide  innovative, customer-focused, and cost-effective Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) support services by applying industry standard best practices in addressing USACE NAU mission requirements. Specific services include system administration, network and telecommunication administration services, end user services (help desk), software applications, SharePoint services, cyber security, configuration management, and program management support. 

• Will complete tasks assigned by Senior Network Engineer.
• Under general supervision will install, configure, and support an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), Agency Internet Network (AIN), Intranet and Internet and other data
• communications systems or a segment of a network system
• Maintain network hardware and software
• Monitors network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability
• Provides support to projects that involve networks
• Provides support in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, MAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs and orders.
• Maintains network hardware and software

• Education/Experience: BA/BS and 5+ years’ experience with Cisco Voice Technologies
• Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT II (Security+) and Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP) Collaboration Certification
• Must have ability to support, troubleshoot and maintain high availability DOD networks to include device patching and upgrades.
• Extensive experience of Cisco products is required

• Has the communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates.
