Company Overview

The Production Test Tech I is an entry-level position within the manufacturing or production department of a company. This role primarily focuses on performing tests and inspections on products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. The Production Test Tech I works under the guidance of senior technicians or supervisors and contributes to the efficient production process.

Responsibilities

Typical Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Performing test and integration on By Light products
  • Documenting and tracking test and inspection results
  • Documenting and providing feedback/problem descriptions to engineering teams
  • Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies
  • Troubleshooting computer issues
  • Troubleshooting system-level PC network communication failures
  • Identifying and troubleshooting Hardware/Software configuration issues at the system level
  • Performing incoming and in-process inspections and checks
  • Creating and updating test procedures and work instructions

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • A.S. Degree in a technical field such as Simulation, Computer, or Electronics or equivalent military training
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and work within established procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing production requirements.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience with PC assembly, troubleshooting and repair as well as computer networking.

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

  • Candidates must be U.S. Persons as defined in the ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status) and as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a) (20).

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift and move moderately heavy objects.
  • Standing or sitting for extended periods during testing procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing or production environment
