Overview

Cole Engineering Services, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated senior-level software engineer to lead a team in the development of design solutions in a rapid and agile manner. This position will report to the Program Manager.

 

Responsibilities

Minimum 8+ years Java software design and development experience with increasing levels of responsibility.  This includes leveraging Protobuf, gRPC, and microservices within Java.    Software will be developed in an Agile DevSecOps development environment.

  • Minimum 8+ years Java software development experience
  • Demonstrated experience translating systems requirements to software requirements.
  • Previous experience leading a software development team, including managing and monitoring team assignments against technical approaches and reporting progress.
  • Strong object-oriented development background. 
  • Experience in Linux/windows shell scripting. 
  • Experience with Industry best-practice software development and collaboration tools in an Agile DevOps environment.
  • Strong communication/presentation skills

Knowledge in any of the following areas is considered a plus:   

  • Familiarity with software development standards and with the capabilities of related Department of Defense software systems; knowledge of Modelling and Simulation
  • Knowledge of military simulation systems.
  • Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience Java software design and development
  • Experience leading others, assigning tasks, brining Agile method to development teams

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

This is an ON-SITE position located at the CESI facility at UCF. Position requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
