Functional Responsibility:
Technical leader acting as Chief Engineer responsible the execution of the Command Staff Training Environment focus area which is part of a larger US Army training system modernization effort. The modernization effort includes development of software simulations representing military operational environments, simulation and simulation of complex operational and tactical systems, integration of game engine technologies, and web development of support applications for training systems. Program operates on a rapid-paced Agile DEVSECOPS development environment. Program interfacing will include coordination with program management, program Chief Architect, finance, Product Owners, peer Chief Engineers, and government customers. Primary responsibility will be the day-to-day execution and technical management of the Command Staff Training Environment team that aligns with the technical solution prescribed by the Chief Architect. This position also includes managerial and supervisory duties.
Minimum/General Experience:
Fifteen (15) years experience designing, developing, and production of software centric systems for integration into large-scale simulation systems, constructive simulation technologies and methodologies. Requires at least five (5) years managing multi-person teams in design, implementation, and test of systems for deployment to end users. Requires competence in system analysis and design, performance analysis, configuration and code management. Must have experience adhering to robust technical specifications and working both independently and as a member of a software-centric development and systems integration teams. Must be familiar with industry software development standards/methodologies and with the capabilities of related Department of Defense tactical/operational software systems. Agile development experience in a DEVSECOPS environment is an advantage.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or software engineering from an accredited college or university.
This is an onsite position at a CESI Orlando facility.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
