Company Overview

By Light is hiring a C2OTM Engineer to join our team supporting a DoD customer in Tampa, FL. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the design, installation, and maintenance of JCSE’s C2OTM system and supporting network infrastructure.
  • Engineering support includes data, voice, SATCOM, RF, tactical radios, cellular devices, MANET, and video network technology development, integration, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Responsible for WAN and LAN configuration and deployment, including QoS configuration, using Ethernet, Fiber, 3G/4G LTE, SATCOM, and Wi-Fi as transmission mediums and OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP and MPLS as routing protocols, primarily on Cisco equipment.
  • Also responsible for voice communications on systems running Cisco Call Manager and Cisco Unity.
  • Develop plans to upgrade system components, processes and operating procedures for JCSE’s C2OTM systems.
  • Provide support for data network issues impacting the integration and employment of C2OTM systems with DISN-TE sites located throughout the Combatant Commands.
  • Design, develop, and integrate new tools or telecommunications equipment into existing or C2OTM system capabilities to meet new requirements.
  • Provide recommendations and develop solutions for identified performance problems with JCSE’s C2OTM systems.
  • Conduct technical research for data, transmission, voice, RF, and video systems modernization plans appropriate to JCSE’s C2OTM systems.
  • Deliver tactical telecommunications designs and integration capabilities to be used in various environments to include air, land, and sea.
  • Conduct technical research for data, transmission, voice, RF, and video systems for the development of new solutions to meet C2OTM system requirements. Develop updates to f the POA&Ms for the JCSE Enterprise.
  • Support development of RMF Security Plans and assist in the creation and updating of RMF accreditation packages.
  • Analyze information assurance-related technical problems and provide support in solving these problems.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD guidance, regulations, and instructions as they pertaining to the unit's systems/networks.
  • Properly notify the government when changes to DoD guidance, regulations, and instructions impact the unit's systems/networks.
  • Document changes to systems and all required checklists for use within the configuration baseline.
  • Implement and integrate IA defense postures to JCSE's communications systems and architectures when coordinated or immediately upon being directed to secure reported cyber threats from the appropriate level of authority.

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • IAT Level II certification required (Security+, etc.)
  • CCNA

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

  • Secret clearance required
