The Production Planner schedules, and coordinates the flow of work and materials to drive supply chain sources within or between departments according to the production schedule.

• Resolve the day-to-day issues within Production Control and with other departments;
• Confer with department management to determine progress of work and completion dates;
• Provide updates on all programs to Management and report any issues that may impact production schedule;
• Continuous improvement of processes and procedures;
• Place purchase requests for inventory materials;
• Create Manufacturing Orders and monitor shortages;
• Provide buy item focus list for daily standup meetings;
• Working with the Purchasing department to make sure that parts are ordered and arrive on time;
• Perform other duties as directed;
• Update outstanding part documentationwhen applicable.

• High school diploma/GED or above;
• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel;
• 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Must be a highly analytical thinker and problem solver;
• Experience in production planning OR working experience of CostPoint.

• Experience as an planner in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in a manufacturing environment in planning, scheduling, and reporting;
• experience with ERP systems with an MRP focus (CostPoint a plus);
• Working knowledge of CostPoint
• Detail oriented and organized person
